Ted Gilman, Audubon Greenwich's Senior Naturalist, will be hosting a public program with stories and photos from his trip to Costa Rica in 2008. Ted will share images of tropical plants, insects, spiders, birds, snakes, monkeys, volcanoes, and the dedicated scientists & educators who are working to preserve the rich natural heritage of Costa Rica. The program will highlight natural areas ranging from the dry tropical forest of Guanacaste National Park in the northwest, and the mountain cloud forests of Monteverde, to the hot, humid lowland rainforest of Corcovado National Park near Panama. This diversity of habitats provided a wonderful variety of plant and animals to encounter and enjoy. Ted has called this the trip of a lifetime.
