For three consecutive weekends this spring on the Western Connecticut State University Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. Ives Concert Park will be transformed into an authentic 1585 village where jousters, jesters, minstrels and storytellers will excite and entertain attendees of all ages.

Tickets are available for one day (adults $15, children and seniors $8), for the weekend (adults $28, children and seniors $14), or for the entire season (adults $84, children and seniors $42). Family four-packs (two adults and two children) also are available at $42 for one day. Children under 4 will be admitted free. Tickets will be for sale at the venue.

Six stages will feature entertainment ranging from magicians to storytellers to knights in battle. Highlights will include a full-armored joust staged by Noble Cause Productions, an internationally recognized joust reenactment troupe. There will be music, comedy, jugglers and much more. Also featured will be a variety of merchants offering Renaissance-related items such as clothing, art, jewelry, florals, figurines and more.

The Renaissance village will offer a variety of international cuisine for purchase, including bread bowls with soup, stew and chili; turkey legs; Thai food; Italian cuisine; new world favorites and more. Mead, ale and other beverages also will be available.
