Model Ts to Mustangs

Saturday, May 2, 2009
(Rain date May 3)
11 am to 3 pm

The Museum's 6th Annual Model Ts to Mustangs outdoor display of antique and classic cars returns! David Greenberg of Stamford and Rosa Portell, the Museum's Curator of Collections, have teamed up again to co-curate this fun event.

As an added feature this year's show will include a special section dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the BMC Mini, featuring micro and mini cars.

American and imported cars manufactured between 1900 and 1979 will be on display. By popular demand, there will also be a new survivor class, dedicated to original, untouched vehicles.

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.

Proceeds from Model Ts to Mustangs will benefit the Museum's arts education and gallery initiatives.

The show will be judged and awards – including a “People’s Choice” award – will be presented in several categories. The awards ceremony will be held at 2:45 p.m. Participants may also opt not to have their cars judged if they wish.

Entry forms are available on the Museum’s Web site: www.stamfordmusem.org

Admission for the public is included in the Stamford Museum & Nature Center’s entrance fee (Adults $8; Children ages 4-14, $4; seniors 65+, $6; Children 3 and under, free)
